Principle

Axis

A linear element in which spaces are arranged in a balanced way around that line.

Symmetry

The distribution or arrangement of a form or space along an axis that is harmonious and has balance.

Hierarchy

The form or space that is the most important to is emphasized visually through size, shape, and placement.

Datum

The element, a line, plane or volume in which all other elements relate to . Organizing the elements forming regularity and continuity.

Rhythm and Repetition

Recurrence of elements at regular or irregular

intervals

Transformation

The principle that an architectural form can be manipulated or altered in response to a specific context or set of conditions without s loss of identity or concept.

Design Philosophy

It is important for me to have a firm understanding of the foundation of art & design as well as those designers who paved the way. Once you know the rules you can break them. If life were a coloring book, it is much more fun to color outside the lines.
As a designer my goal is to inspire, to see the world differently. Often beauty can be found in the most unexpected places. When I approach a project I seek inspiration from the world around me. When someone enters a space I designed I want him or her to have that “ah-ha” moment. I want the spaces I design to be elegant, innovative, and bold. Part of successful design is fulfilling the client’s needs first and foremost. In these times of globalization and immediacy our environments should be designed for our lifestyles.
